9 Westchester Brewers Collab on a New Summer Ale !

Nine Westchester brewers have banded together to bring Fill the Boat, a new easy-sipping summer ale, to beer lovers.

Brewers from Run & Hide, Captain Lawrence, Soul, Alternative Medicine, Yonkers, Simple Motive, Marlowe Ales, Wolf & Warrior, and 18th Ward all enter a “room.”

That’s not a setup for a longform joke. And although many laughs were shared that brew-day morning — over several beers, of course — the punchline, a.k.a. the goal here, is camaraderie.

Spearheaded by Tim Shanley, brewer and owner of Port Chester’s Run & Hide Brewing Co., the beer collaboration that’s going to result in a summer wheat ale, came about from a few reasons combined.

Brick City Brewing – Jitterbug!

8% abv

Put some Jitterbug into your brain. It goes a bang-bang-bang ’til your feet do the same! This “wham-tastic” NE style DIPA was brewed in collaboration with our friends at Run & Hide Brewing. This tribute to the ’80s was Double Dry Hopped with a particular selection of hops: Waimea+Huell Melon+Amarillo Cryo+Mosaic aka… WHAM!

This juicy brew exhibits notes of pomelo, sweet tangerine, honeydew melon, and fresh strawberries.

2 villains Brewing – DONT FRONT

American Pale Ale · 6.0% ABV · ~160 calories

Labeled as a “Hoppy Ale”, this was a mash up of several styles. A kolsch grain bill, with West Coast yeast and a NE IPA dry hop with all New Zealand hops

Dank Side of the Moon – 7.5% – Brewed in collaboration with our friends friends, Run and Hide Brewing Co, this West Coast IPA is more of a blend between east and west. We added a touch of malt backbone and light bitterness to our favorite hop profile of Simcoe, Columbus, Centennial, Cascade and Amarillo.

STICK WITH GRANDMA

We took 50 gallons of our Italian Pilsner and put it on some oak and our buddy Dave Dibari added some  Lemon zest, Coriander, turmeric, lemon grass, black pepper corns and we put it in an old lagering cave.

BEAT CONDUCTOR

Beat Conductor is a DDH NEDIPA 8%
Brewed with 2 row, flaked oats, oat malt, flaked wheat, carapils.
Double Dry Hopped with Citra, Mosaic, Cro Mosaic.
This Dipa is tropical fruit foward and hints of purple Spree candy. Aromas of Papaya, pineapple and tangerines.
